The new smartphone was announced with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean loaded on top

Indian phone maker Lava has made official yet another appealing handset running under Google’s Android operating system, in the form of Lava Iris 504Q+.

The new mobile phone was announced with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, as well as with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor packed inside.

The handset will arrive on shelves with 1GB of RAM and with 8GB of internal storage, while also being capable of providing users with support for two SIM cards at the same time.

Moreover, Lava Iris 504Q+ comes to the market with a 10-megapixel camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor and LED flash on the back, as well as with a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The specifications list of the new device also includes Mali 400 GPU, a 2000mAh battery, and Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top.

According to a recent article on mobigyaan, the handset was unveiled with a price tag of Rs. 13,990 ($232/€167) attached to it. Lava also included a free flip cover in the package, it seems.

“Iris 504Q+ was developed with an insight based understanding that we got from our consumers after the launch of our popular smartphone Iris 504Q mid last year,” Hari Om Rai, managing director, Lava International Ltd., said.

“We have enhanced the highly popular gesture motion functionality of Iris 504Q by bringing in advanced voice and command control apart from major upgrades in internal memory and camera.”
