The smartphone packs a 4.5-inch screen, dual-core processor

Users in India interested in the purchase of an affordable Android-based smartphone can now head over to Flipkart to grab the Lava Iris 456.

The new device can be seen listed at the retailer with a price tag of Rs. 7,018 ($112/€83) attached to it, which is a bit lower than what Snapdeal asks for, as fonearena notes.

Lava Iris 456 comes with a 4.5-inch screen that can deliver an 854 x 480 pixel resolution, while being powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM next to it.

The mobile phone also features 4GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity, and built-in GPS receiver.

Furthermore, it sports a 5-megapixel camera on the back, and a 1.3MP front camera. Powered by a 1650mAh battery, the Lava Iris 456 runs under Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
