A video which has earned an uploader a lot of money is at the center of a dispute about copyright infringement.

The clip was submitted by Shannon Carter and it features a giggling, bathing baby playing with a dachshund.

However, YouTuber Ashley Candler claims that it is her baby, her dachshund and her video. Carter's upload made 70 million views, banking in large amounts of money in AdSense earnings and licensing deals.

“In or around December 2010, Candler created a video entitled ‘Bath Time Fun.’ The video displays her toddler son in the bathtub, teasing the family dachshund with a bath toy. [...] Candler owns U.S. Copyright Registration No. PA1829720 for the video,” Candler's complaint states, as reported by Courthouse News.

She has sued Carter, who claims that she also has copyright to the clip. The video was posted to her channel, titled sweetfacesjc, but also reposted by other users since then.
