InfoSonics verykool i250 was recently awarded with the “Best Cell Phone” title, during the 10th Annual PC World Latin America Awards.

verykool i250 is a device with an overall design that brings a Sony Ericsson Walkman phone to mind, mainly because of the way its navigation pad and keys are built. Its features are those of a mid-end handset, and include Music player, FM radio, organizer, support for microSD card, and a 2 Megapixel camera, said to offer a “superb image quality.”

These details aside, not that much is known of InfoSonics' new award-winning handset. Luckily, the available image with verykool i250 offers us a precious detail, and that is the existence of a stylus. In consequence, verykool i250 is a touchscreen handset and, although its display does not seem to have a resolution higher than 320 x 240 pixels, this is still a feature that can attract lots of users.

Talking about the distinction the new phone got, President and Chief Executive Officer of InfoSonics, Joseph Ram, declared, “This award demonstrates our success in developing feature rich and innovative products at attractive price points for our target markets. As a proprietary offering for InfoSonics, the verykool i250 has generated positive initial feedback from our carrier customers, and should help to solidify our potential as a ‘rising star’ in a very competitive marketplace.”

The price of verykool i250 is not known yet, but it should not be a high one, although you shouldn’t hope for something too cheap either. The release date of the new verykool phone is yet another detail that is still to be disclosed. Anyway, users should expect it to be on sale in the next few months, across all Latin America.

Based in San Diego, California, InfoSonics Corporation focuses on delivering mobile phones for Latin America only. With the latest award, received by verykool i250, it seems that the Californian company is doing its job quite well.
