Samsung has made a presentation of their latest technologies at CommunicAsia 2007. Overall, the leading mobile phone manufacturer has presented more than 50 of their latest generation handsets.

Samsung managed to catch the interest of those present with the slim slider Ultra Edition II 12.1 (U700) as well as with the Ultra Edition II 10.9 (U600) 2.5G slider. These are
two of the slimmest mobile phones from Samsung's line of devices and from all those available at a worldwide level, as a matter of fact. Other phone lineups include the SGH-E950, E840 and J600, all among the most evolved mobile phones available from this company.

One new feature which has made the highlights at the CommunicAsia 2007 has been the introduction of the Mobile WiMAX U-RAS Hub System (HS) and Convergence System (CS). This is the first time when Samsung brings this technology out for the world.

The new line of mobile phones has also managed to draw the attention of all those present. "The introduction of Samsung's new Ultra Edition II range is testament to our strategic focus on the premium segment. In addition, Samsung's vision for the future of mobile technology is increasingly becoming a reality with our successful Mobile WiMAX demonstration, underlining the converged mobile device as the future hub of all communications. With our increased focus on the Southeast Asian market, we will continue to provide a wide variety of mobile phones customized for local needs", said Mr. Geesung Choi, President of Samsung's Telecommunications Network Business.

Samsung's new Mobile WiMAX services offer the possibility of running applications such as push-to-all, IP TV and not only. The newly presented U-RAS Hybrid System and Converged System reduce the size of Mobile WiMAX Base Stations and enlarge the coverage of Base Stations. As a result, the costs required for this service are considerably reduced.
