Latest NVIDIA and ATI Drivers - Download Available

Geforce 178.24, nForce 20.08 and Catalyst 8.10

After the Santa Clara, California-based green company we all know as NVIDIA has launched its highly anticipated GeForce 9300 and 9400 series of motherboard GPUs, it appears that it has now announced a new set of GeForce and nForce drivers. In addition, rival ATI has also released a new version of its Catalyst Software Suite, which adds new features to systems built on ATI Radeon graphics cards, so all you computer enthusiasts out there better hurry and upgrade to the latest version, as it could probably solve some of the issues you have with your NVIDIA or ATI product.

 

Now, talking about the specifications of the new drivers, we'll first take a look at the new GeForce 178.24 driver pack, which adds support for the newly-released GeForce 9-series motherboard GPUs and includes several application compatibility fixes. In addition, according to the release documentation, the new pack even delivers significant performance improvements for GeForce graphics cards, compared to previous 175.19 WHQL drivers. The new NVIDIA WHQL driver pack, obviously, comes with support for GeForce 6-series, 7-series, 8-series, 9-series and 200-series GPUs and is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, as well as for the 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Vista.

 

As long as we are still discussing NVIDIA, we should also mention the new nForce drivers that come with support for all of the manufacturer's motherboard products, including the new GeForce 9300 and GeForce 9400. The nForce 20.08 version is now available for download, here on Softpedia, for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, as well as for the 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Vista.

 

As mentioned above, ATI has also come out with a new version for its Catalyst Software Suite, the 8.10, which, according to release notes, allows users to control the speed of the GPU fan when running in accelerated graphics. In addition, this release will also enable users to force Component Video detection in the Display Options aspect, through an option in Catalyst Control Center. You can download the latest Catalyst for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP and for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, here on Softpedia.
