Lastline, Inc., has announced the availability of version 4.7 of Lastline Enterprise, a solution that’s designed to help enterprises in protecting their networks against advanced malware, APTs, active backdoors and other sophisticated threats.

The latest release of Lastline Enterprise, a solution specially designed for highly distributed and virtualized network environments, comes with enhanced capabilities and support for VMWare ESX.

Lastline Enterprise is powered by a high-resolution analysis engine that investigates individual processor instructions and memory accesses in an effort to identify evasion techniques and stealthy malicious behavior that can prevent traditional sandbox-based systems from detecting threats.

In order to provide organizations’ IT security teams with data on both attempted targeted attacks and internal malware infections, the solution analyzes not only the traffic that enters the network, but also the one generated by internal hosts.

Lastline Enterprise v4.7 is easy to set up and manage. It’s worth noting that the solution offers protection against all attack vectors, including ones leveraging Web, file, mobile and email infrastructures.

The latest release includes enhanced detection capabilities for mobile APT defense for Android applications, and extended analysis reporting capabilities.

“As hackers continue to evolve their attack techniques, businesses are also growing their networks with both physical and virtualized environments,” said Jens Andreassen, CEO of Lastline.

“In following both of these evolutions and based on years of development, we are introducing the first virtual APT solution that can be fully integrated into an enterprise's virtual and physical distributed network,” Andreassen added.

“We have made our comprehensive APT protection quick to implement, easy to deploy and cost-effective, compared to traditional appliance-only models that are cost-prohibitive and fail to offer virtualization support.”

Lastline Enterprise is available based on an annual subscription (per user, per year). Pricing varies between the on-premise and the hosted offering.
