Followed by Animal Crossing, GRID 2, Tomb Raider and FIFA 13

The Last of Us, the post-apocalypse video game from developer Naughty Dog and publisher Sony, has managed to take the number one position in the United Kingdom video games chart on its first week on sale.

For the seven-day period that ended on June 15, the game managed to outperform another new release, Animal Crossing: New Leaf from Nintendo, according to UKIE.

Third place was captured by GRID 2, the racing title from Codemasters that managed to spend the previous week in first place.

Tomb Raider, the Lara Croft reboot, is in fourth place, gaining three positions when compared to last week, while FIFA 13 has slid the same amount of places in order to reach fifth.
