Painkiller Hell & Damnation, a remake and a sequel for the immensely popular Painkiller made by People Can Fly in 2004, has been available on the Linux platform for quite some time and now the fans get to buy it with an 80% discount.

The developer of the new Painkiller Hell & Damnation title, The Farm 51, took the old game that everyone remembers and loves and remade it with the Unreal 3 engine. To top it off, the developers from the studio added new content and new levels.

“Evil has returned! Demonic powers are manifesting themselves as a myriad of dark creatures, fighting over the fates of imprisoned souls caught in Purgatory. Once again, it is up to Daniel Garner, in the unenviable position of being the Curse of Darkness and the Toy of Light, to fight his way past hordes of demons and fiends,” reads the official synopsis.

The game also shows that the Unreal 3 engine is running just fine under Linux and there is no need for a Wine port if the developers put enough time into it.

All the DLCs released so far also benefit from the same discount: City Critters, Demonic Vacation at the Blood Sea, Heaven's Above, Full Metal Rocket, Operation “Zombie Bunker,” The Clock Strikes Meat Night, and Medieval Horror. Players can also purchase the “Painkiller Hell and Damnation 4-pack,” which includes three extra copies of Painkiller Hell & Damnation Standard Edition.

The promotion is scheduled to end in a little over 24 hours, so you don't have too much time to decide.
