Trying to find a niche to fill in the tablet ecosystem, Laser Corporation has recently introduced a vast host of tablet products to appease the needs of every customer out there.

Most importantly, Laser is trying to reach out to young consumers by offering a line of kiddie-friendly slates, called the MID741 7-inch eTouch Tablet KIDS and MID 740 7-inch eTouch Tablet KIDS.

Both slates have been rolled out featuring a colorful and cheerful look. The capacitive touch screen displays offer a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels, which is not much when you compare it to most adult tablets out there, but this is a kiddie slate.

The machines are powered by a 1.2GHz processor CPU and run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. 4GB of internal storage is provided, but there’s the option to expand up to 32GB using the microSD.

The slate will ship with a bunch of pre-loaded software for the little ones. Parents, of course, are allowed to control and manage their child’s gadget.

The two slates are safe to be used by extremely young children as they come bundled with a soft cover.

The MID 741 7-inch eTouch Tablet KIDS and MID 740 7-inch eTouch Tablet KIDS are available for parents and kids at the price of A$163.90 / $153 / €114.
