Nothing is going to match a certain 256 GB Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) memory card any time soon, but Lexar isn't really trying to do it anyway.

While the company did launch a few more SDXC cards, it didn't try to outdo that one, but rather cover the market segment below it.

Owners of professional cameras have Platinum II 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB capacities available.

The read speed is of 30 MB/s, while the write speed is 10 MB/s, at minimum, as demanded by the UHS-I and SD Class-10 standards.

Lexar made the product announcement in Japan. The prices are of $11.4 (8.81 Euro), $21.4 (16.54), and $49.7 (38.19 Euro), respectively.

If one is looking for something smaller, Kingston's 64 GB MicroSDXC card was launched just the other day. It is a bit expensive though, with or without the SDXC adapter.
