A small piece of advice for those planning to make donations: check thoroughly the items you want to get rid of before handing them over to charity organization. You never know what incriminating evidence may hide among them.

Workers at a Salvation Army outlet in Pennsylvania found a large plastic bag of marijuana among some pieces of clothing donated early last week, Daily News reports.

Sugarcreek Borough Police confirms that a bag containing a "substantial quantity" of weed was found in a pair of donated pants.

Police Chief Matt Carlson says the charitable person must have noticed the bag is missing by now, since it contained a large amount of pot.

Authorities are working with the store employees to identify the donor who dropped off the clothes.

It seems this is not the first time police officers have to investigate bizarre items found among donations. “We've had guns ... cash ... rings, and now marijuana,” said police chief.
