Westpac, a large Australian bank and currently one of the companies already running Windows 8, seems to be so impressed with the modern operating system that it now plans to move all workstations to Windows 8.1.

Microsoft itself announced the news in a blog post, saying that more than 1,000 devices are expected to be updated to Windows 8.1.

Redmond has also pointed to some of the comments made by employees and obviously praising not only Windows 8, but also the so-called “Discover Your World” app pre-installed on all company devices.

“The app will improve advisor customer service and provide a more intuitive and engaging experience for managing customers’ most critical financial decisions. Westpac has made the app available on a convertible device that is perfect for Westpac’s sales team in the field – the Lenovo Helix,” Microsoft explained.
