In July, we predicted that love was in the air for Lara Flynn Boyle, the woman to whom many refer to as 'the original Nicole Richie' for her severe weight problems. As much as we would pride ourselves with that, we must admit that the only thing we were wrong about was the identity of the groom.
This summer, Lara and her on-and-off boyfriend, senior actor Jack Nicholson were spotted together again in St Tropez, enjoying some quality time on his yacht, thus prompting people to believe that they would be considering going down the aisle sometime in the near future.
This Monday, Lara got married but it wasn't with Nicholson. Instead, she tied the knot with a man about whom the media knows very little (save that he is some real estate mogul), Donald Ray Thomas, and about whom nobody knew he was that close with the actress.
The ceremony took place in Thomas' back yard in San Antonio, Texas, after which, the newlyweds booked the Penthouse Suit at a nearby small hotel. Sources tell the press that the marriage was a very hasty business, as the two didn't even have their wedding rings prepared for the big event. 'Some guy came to the hotel on Monday night to drop off their rings.', a spy told 'Star' Magazine.
Even if she wasn't quite ready for her big day (this is her second marriage), Lara was more than happy to have tied the knot with Thomas. Another source is cited as saying: 'She said she was ecstatic. She also said she was so happy that she could barely breathe!'
However, Lara has it all figured out, from their family life to the way she will manage her acting career and being a wife and maybe a mother. 'She was beaming and he was full of energy, kept going on and on about how happy he was. She said she was going back to Los Angeles but that she was going to eventually move to San Antonio to be with her husband and then commute to L.A. when she needed to for work', the magazine writes.
