Users have found yet another bug after making the switch to Windows 8.1

Windows 8.1 continues to cause troubles to its first adopters, this time to those trying to install the operating system on laptops.

Users who posted on Microsoft’s Community forums claim that laptops fail to wake from sleep after updating to Windows 8.1 and no workaround is available at this point.

“Ii have an HP Envy laptop. After upgrading to windows 8.1 through the store, my computer will not wake up from sleep. Just displays a black screen and I need to do a hard restart,” one user explained.

At a first glance, this could be a problem with the video card drivers, so updating them is the first thing you should do when trying to determine the cause of the issues.

Microsoft has yet to provide us with a workaround or at least a statement on what’s happening, but the company will most likely roll out a fix sometime in the next few weeks.
