This past Wednesday, land surveyors in lower Manhattan stumbled upon a piece of landing gear which was lodged between two buildings.

Presently, it is being said that the debris comes from one of the planes used in the 9/11 terrorist attack.

However, investigators are yet to confirm this hypothesis by having a closer look at the Boeing identification number inscribed in it.

Apparently, the piece of landing gear used to be part and parcel of a Boeing jet. Further analysis is expected to determine whether or not it belonged to one of the 9/11 planes.

The space between the two buildings at 51 Park Place and 50 Murray Street where the wreckage was found is extremely narrow, The Verge says.

Because of this, a spokesperson for the NYPD argued that “it had to come in at almost precisely the right angle to end up being wedged there.”

By the looks of it, the area is currently treated as a crime scene.
