Lance Bass Broke Up Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone

It was bound to happen: just hours after Lorenzo Martone confirmed on his official Twitter page that he and his fiancé Marc Jacobs were no longer together, rumors are already taking over the tabloid media as to the possible cause of the split. Lance Bass of N’Sync may have actually had a hand in the matter, X17 Online says, citing ongoing reports.

Of course, Bass many not have deliberately broken up the two but, word in the industry has it, he did agree to go out with Martone when he was still with Jacobs. Things soon got pretty serious and Martone started talking about breaking up from the famous fashion designer – which he eventually did. Nevertheless, unnamed sources who claim to be on very good terms with Lorenzo insist that this is nothing but a malicious rumor that has no foundation in reality whatsoever.

“Marc Jacobs recently called it quits with his long term boyfriend-turned-fiancé Lorenzo Martone, but after only two months, Martone is moving on – with ‘N Syncer Lance Bass! The two apparently met while Martone was still with Jacobs – but according to the NY Daily News they didn’t *officially* hook up until Marc and Lorenzo were dunzo,” the paparazzi agency and celebrity gossip website writes. Unofficially, they were together even before the split from Marc Jacobs was a done deal.

“The two were first spotted getting’ flirty at The Soho house in NYC on June 6th, but since then, they’ve been out on several dates in the city says a source! But before you think this may lead to something serious, not so, says a Lance pal. ‘Lorenzo is trying to make it more than it is,’ and Lance is just ‘not that interested.’ Plus, Lance, who’s 31, prefers to get with guys who are ‘younger and prettier’ than the 31-year-old Martone. Whoops!” the same media outlet further says.

Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone were together for about two years, making one of the trendiest couples in fashion and showbiz in general. In 2009, the two announced they were engaged but made no mention of wedding plans. At the beginning of this year, word got out that they’d gotten married in a surprise secret ceremony, but a rep for the designer later denied the reports, saying he was still single.
