14 DAY TRIAL // The big news these days connected to Lana Del Rey was that the singer had split up from long-time boyfriend Barrie-James O'Neill, despite the fact that earlier this year they were sparking engagement rumors.
It's only been one week since Lana Del Rey spilled to a German newspaper that she had split up from O'Neill, that today we get photographic proof she's already moved on. E! Online has the “Ultraviolence” singer in a photo that shows her enjoying a kiss from Vogue photographer Franceso Carrozzini.
When the German 20 Minuten newspaper asked her whether the rumors she was getting engaged to O'Neill were true, she replied dryly, “We are currently not together. He is a wonderful person. But there are some things with which he has to deal. I will not explain it in detail. This was hard on our relationship. I no longer felt free. We'll see how it goes.”
While technically Lana is still busy with promotion on her latest album, “Ultraviolence,” she didn't hesitate to take some time out and enjoy some quality time in Portofino, Italy, with Francesco, her new squeeze.
Photographers who took the shots of the new couple describe them as looking totally relaxed around each other, as they went shopping, sharing an ice cream, and even taking a ride on a Vespa together (does it get more vintage Italian than this?) as Lana wrapped her arms tight around Francesco's waist, and not just to keep her balance on the bike.
But don't count Lana enamored to this Italian hunk just yet. She and O'Neill are known to be on an on-again-off-again basis. Judging by the way in which she referred to him, it's clear that Lana still has feelings for her Scottish rocker, and she would take him back if he just dealt with his said issues.
Their relationship is even more put under the looking glass by the fact that Barrie himself denies having split from Lana. When paparazzi caught up with him just one day after Lana told German press they were no longer together, he told them there was no truth to the story.
“It's not over, It's not over. Don't believe what you read,” the rocker kept repeating, as if to himself and as if unable to come to terms with the fact that Lana broke up with him. However, these new photos that have emerged from Italy speak volumes about where the singer's affections lay at the moment.
