14 DAY TRIAL // Lana Del Rey is back with a new video and, just like every other one she put out, it's quite an interesting watch. Check out the official clip for “Carmen” above.
The song is lifted off her “Born to Die” album and is the fourth single.
Shortly after release – Lana let her fans know of its availability on her Twitter page –, the video was already at the center of a heated debate, and a single look at it will explain why.
Though it combines old footage with more recent shots, the video accompanies a track about a 17-year-old streetwalker, which is believed actually to be a thinly veiled take on celebrity.
Some of the images included in the video seem to confirm that.
Either way, even if it's not mean as a take on our celebrity culture, the official clip is dreamy and gorgeous, perfectly Lana.
