It’s only a few days that we’ve seen what imagination can do in terms of a wedding gown and a wedding cake, when designer Lukka Sigurdardottir created a very impractical but not less fabulous because of it wedding gown made of cake. Now, Lambertz Bakery in Germany has debuted a fashion line made entirely out of chocolate, in what could only be described as any child, man or woman’s wildest sweet dream come true.

The other night was a fabulous night for both fashion and the sweets industry, though undoubtedly it’s the latter that stands to win from this recent endeavor. However, personalities from all fields of showbiz took part, with models, singers and television stars all participating in the event, in one form or another, meaning either as models or as members of the audience.

In all fairness, those in the latter group had plenty to see at the fashion show at the Monday-Night Schoko Party at Alter Wartesaal in Cologne, Germany. Designs included a replica of the famous Marilyn Monroe strapless pink gown, complete with oversized back bow and a model that looked like the blonde icon, and even managed to strike poses like other. Another model walked in a dress made entirely of chocolate, shaped like a bell and complete with a corset and minute decorations.

Lady Gaga, admittedly the most influential style icon of the day was not forgotten either. Another model walked the catwalk in a similar bell dress, adorned with spots made of white chocolate and with a caption saying “I (heart) Lambertz.” To make the Gaga homage worthy of the name, the model also sported a blonde wig with a bow made of hair, the kind the “Poker Face” singer was so fond of a couple of months ago.

Just like with Lukka Sigurdardottir’s creation, these designs are far from practical – yet that doesn’t stop them from being truly fabulous, original and, to put it straight, absolutely delicious. Have a look and judge for yourselves.
