14 DAY TRIAL // Former NBA star Lamar Odom is in trouble again: following a very troubled 2012 and 2013, which ended with his marriage to reality star Khloe Kardashian falling apart, and after reportedly seeking help for a raging drug problem, he is off the wagon again.
Lamar’s previous drug of choice was crack cocaine, if we’re to believe reports online. As of late, he’s been dabbling into the very dangerous drug known as “sherm,” InTouch Weekly has learned.
Lamar has friends, Khloe worried sick about him
“Sherm” is the street name of the drug resulted from dipping a joint into PCP, also known as Phencyclidine or angel dust. The report doesn’t say how long Lamar has been using, but an insider confirms he’s hooked - and in serious trouble for it.
“He has been doing an old-school drug called sherm, which is taking a joint and dipping it in liquid PCP,” says the spy. “It’s really dangerous and can make you violent.”
Apparently, Lamar’s habit has gotten way past the point of him being able to keep it a secret, so his friends and even his estranged wife Khloe are worried about him, pleading with him to get himself checked into rehab once more.
Just like the first time around, he’s not listening to reason and he continues to avoid them and to party as if there was nothing wrong with it. “Lamar needs serious, serious help,” the source adds.
Khloe and Lamar are still married
Khloe and Lamar married just one month after they met, and for some time, they actually showed signs that they had discovered the secret to a loving, solid marriage in showbiz. In 2012, rumors of drug use on Lamar’s part started making the rounds, but they remained just that for many months because no one from the Kardashian family, let alone Lamar, would address them.
For most of 2013, both he and Khloe did their best to deny their marriage was in any kind of trouble, but in the second half of the year, there was no more hiding it. Footage shot on cell phones during Lamar’s ragers with male pals started making the rounds, revealing that he was indeed drinking and abusing some kind of illegal substance, and cheating on Khloe.
In December 2013, Khloe filed for divorce, but as far as the media knows, he’s yet to respond in any way. Considering the attention their marriage got, it would be impossible for them to have gotten divorced without anyone finding out, so they’re most likely still married.
Lamar hasn’t been seen in public in several months, with the photo attached to this article being one of the most recent. As you can see, he’d gained some weight, which was attributed both to his alleged rehab stint and the fact that he’d been out of a job for a very long time.
Because he’s been so reclusive in the past couple of years, there’s no way to confirm the above report for the time being.
