14 DAY TRIAL // It took Lamar Odom many months to understand that Khloe Kardashian meant business when she filed the divorce papers, but he’s finally gotten the message: they are never ever getting back together, as Taylor Swift would say. However, he doesn’t want her to move on either.
Khloe has been spending a lot of time with rapper French Montana these past few weeks, with all evidence pointing to the fact that they’re romantically involved – and allegedly about to take their relationship to the next level by becoming parents.
All this is just speculation for the time being, but insiders are telling the media that Khloe thinks she’s finally found her perfect man, the man she wants to grow old and have children with. Admittedly, they want to start trying for a baby soon.
According to the latest reports cited by The Hollywood Gossip, hearing this kind of things is slowly killing Lamar on the inside because, even though he’s given up on hopes of a reconciliation, he doesn’t want to see her have another man’s child, not so soon after the split, when they’re not even divorced yet.
Friends worry that, if Khloe does get pregnant by French Montana, the news could send Lamar off the rails completely, now when he’d finally managed to get his life under control.
“Lamar will be devastated and betrayed if she and French have a baby. If Khloe Kardashian announces she’s pregnant, it could also send him into another downward spiral. This would really hurt Lamar,” says a source close to the basketball player.
Lamar never owned up to having a drug problem, but it is believed that this was what ruined his marriage to Khloe. Apparently, she discovered he was addicted to crack cocaine and repeatedly tried to get him to stop using, even staging interventions all on her own.
As if that weren’t enough strain on the marriage, he also cheated on her whenever he got the chance and, in the final months of their life together, made no effort to keep his romantic adventures a secret anymore.
After several such attempts on Khloe’s part to get him to rehab, when it became clear to her that he wasn’t ready yet to get clean, she gave him an ultimatum and he chose to leave their home and hang out with his friends.
A little while later, she filed the divorce papers and hasn’t looked back since, even though Lamar continued to tell the media that their marriage wasn’t over yet.
