Lady Gaga will tape an appearance on Oprah this week, executive producer confirms

Oprah announced that her show, the famous The Oprah Winfrey Show, would come to an end in 2011, after a very successful fun of over two decades. Until that happens, though, she plans to stay true to her work so far by bringing on the air the most interesting personalities on the scene at the moment – and this also includes pop artist queen of the charts Lady Gaga, it would seem.

As is customary with Oprah, no official announcement has yet been made, but these things to get out no matter what. This time, it’s executive producer Sheri Salata who confirms ongoing reports on her Twitter page, saying nothing but “lady gaga next friday everyone! [sic]” This means that Gaga will be taping her appearance on Friday, with an air date for the episode yet to be announced.

Until that is made public, fans are waiting for yet another confirmation, whether of a joint appearance or two separate ones. We were telling you over the weekend that both Adam Lambert and Scottish singer Susan Boyle were scheduled for appearances on the Oprah Show and that, coincidence or not, they would tape them this Wednesday. The moment this got out in the media, many were quick to say that such a coincidence couldn’t be and the two would most certainly record a duet together.

“Been living under the radar, Susan Boyle is set to travel to Chicago next week to tape a performance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. The singer is confirmed to film the appearance on Wednesday, January 13, with airing date to be determined. Now, there’s a rumor that she would make a duet with Adam Lambert who has confirmed personally that he would be a guest on the talk show. The speculation emerges since Adam is also scheduled to tape his on Wednesday. Crew of the show have already been to Los Angeles to tape some background video for Adam’s segment,” AceShowbiz was saying on Saturday, summing up ongoing reports, as we also informed you.

Gaga fans looking forward to see her on Oprah’s couch are already taking to the Internet to debate on the chances of seeing her in character once more, as opposed to whether she will allow them a glimpse behind the Gaga mask. At the same time, they’re also wondering about what she’ll perform and whether she’ll stay true to her habit of shocking her audiences with her live performances.
