Lady Gaga is fighting back at all those who insist that, when the cameras are off and there’s no paparazzo in sight, she turns from Cinderella the princess into Cinderella the girl who washes floors. She has her own style and it represents her entirely, the singer explains, and anyone saying otherwise is hating without even knowing anything. Granted, this is not to say that she goes to bed in the wacky outfits we see her, or with the hair bow or crazy makeup.

“The biggest misconception about me is I’m a character or a persona. That when the lights and cameras turn off, I turn into a pumpkin. It’s simply not true. I make music and art and design all day long. Yes, I wash my face and go to sleep but when I wake up, I am always Lady Gaga.” the singer writes on the aforementioned web page.

Ever since she broke into the spotlight and had her tracks quickly ascend in both local and international charts, Lady Gaga has been at the center of attention, with her style too often being the main attraction. This later prompted critics to say that she was only using her funky clothes to attract attention to herself or respectively to divert it from her music, which was not any different from what other pop stars put out, by trying to make herself look like a misunderstood artist.

Fans will know, of course, where the truth is, since they have stuck by and supported the singer all this while, even before she became so famous. Whether she chooses to step out in the town without pants on or, on the contrary, dressed in fancy clothes and holding a teacup and saucer is entirely up to her – but undeniably a major part of her wide appeal.
