Confidence always does a body good and, just in case you were wondering, Lady Gaga has plenty of that. The singer is in the March 2011 issue of Vogue, where she talks about herself as a performer, her fans and her upcoming album.

Gaga’s “Born This Way” album aims to be a landmark in pop music: drawing for inspiration on classic rock, mixing pure pop elements and throwing in a healthy dose of politics as well, Gaga has often spoken about the album as her most complex work to date.

In Vogue, she gives but a taste of what fans should expect from it – but not before she tells her “little monsters” that confidence in themselves is a must.

“Speaking purely from a musical standpoint, I think I am a great performer. I am a talented entertainer. I consider myself to have one of the greatest voices in the industry,” Gaga tells Vogue.

“I consider myself to be one of the greatest songwriters. I wouldn’t say that I am one of the greatest dancers, but I am really quite good at what I do. I think it’s OK to be confident in yourself,” she adds.

Gaga has always felt a special bond with her fans and she will probably share it for the rest of her life, because she can relate to them in ways they probably can’t even imagine.

It’s for them that she recorded “Born This Way,” her way of saying thank you for all the support they’ve shown her throughout the years.

“I see myself in them. I was this really bad, rebellious misfit of a person – I still am – sneaking out, going to clubs, drugs, alcohol, older men, younger men,” she says.

As for more on the album, fans will have to wait until it comes out to find out all about it.

“The seventeen-track CD will include such songs as ‘Hair,’ ‘Bad Kids,’ ‘Americano,’ and the second single ‘Judas’,” Gaga says.
