They say Lady Gaga’s staying power mostly consists of her ability to always come up with something that is both new and stunning for one reason or another. Following the waves the singer created with the release of her artsy and shocking “Paparazzi” video, she is now back riding the wave of fame – and controversy – with a remix of her new single “Love Game” featuring vocals from none other than shock rocker Marilyn Manson.

The two, as unlikely a pair as they might seem at first sight, harbor a deep admiration and respect for each other’s work, which they did not fail to make public in past interviews. As early as 2008, Gaga was speaking about her biggest dream to that date, that of getting up on stage with Manson for a duet, or at least having the pleasure of recording one such track with him. Now she got to see her dream come true, as Manson lent his voice for “Love Game” – and what came out is nothing short of an awesome and unique remix, fans are saying on dedicated forums.

Perez Hilton, the blogger who has a cleaner version of the remix, has also gotten his hands on a couple of photos of Gaga and Manson in the studio, and it seems the two had a blast while working together. As of now, this is about everything that is known of the track that surfaced on the Internet just a couple of hours ago; that, and that Gaga has also remixed one of Marilyn’s tracks, which means fans should expect another such superb collaboration to drop shortly.

As we were also telling you a short while back, Lady Gaga is seen by many as a genuine artist for her determination to overturn celebrity standards and patterns with her music, and, at the same time, turn the tables on the celebrity culture. Her latest stance in this sense is the “Paparazzi” video also mentioned above, in which she chooses to portray the lengths some wannabe stars would go to in order to achieve prominence in the media, including questionable behavior both behind closed doors and in front of the cameras, scandal and even murder.

“It’s about everyone’s obsession with that idea of wooing the paparazzi and wanting fame. It’s not to be taken completely seriously. It’s also about wanting a guy to love you and the struggle of whether you can have success or love, or both. [It is] the most amazing creative work that I’ve put together so far. It has a real, genuine, powerful message about [selling out for fame] and death and the demise of the celebrity, and what that does to young people.” Lady Gaga was telling the media before the release of the official video.
