People are more used to Gaga appearing on stage in shocking outfits, doing shocking things and singing shocking lyrics, but there was nothing shocking about her recent live performance she gave with Tony Bennett in New York.

The two singers gave an amazing performance at the Lincoln Center in the Big Apple, which they called “Cheek to Cheek,” and which is basically a celebration of the fact that they ended their two-year collaboration during which they recorded a jazz album together.

The album in question is going to be released later this year, according to the Irish Examiner. The album took two years to make and it's going to be called “Cheek to Cheek.”

A taste of what the two of them sound together was made available to the public in 2011, when they released “The Lady Is a Tramp” single.

For her concert appearance, Gaga really toned down her usually outlandish looks and showed up in a classic-cut black dress with subtle makeup and her hair did in a bun on the top of her head. And it was even her natural color this time.

Speaking about her experience singing with Bennett, Gaga made a startling confession, “You know, it’s funny, but jazz comes a little more comfortable for me than pop music, than R&B music.”

She explained why jazz came naturally to her, unlike any other type of music, “I’ve sang jazz since I was 13 years old, which is kind of like my little secret that Tony found out. So this is almost easier for me than anything else.”

Gaga and Bennett posed for the press and also made some comments about each other. “They’re going to say we had no idea she sings that well,” Bennett said about Gaga and then she jumped in and added, “And they’re gonna say they had no idea that Tony dressed so crazy,” as Tony simply smiled.

Speaking about her collaboration with the legendary Bennett, Gaga admitted that “There’s 60 years between us, and when we sing, there’s no distance.”

She seemed really honored by the collaboration because she even Instagramed a photo of the event in which she can be seen posing literally cheek to cheek with Bennett. The photo was captioned “me and my babe,” and fans jumped to the occasion to congratulate the pop diva for her work with the singer.

Fans of the “Monster” singer needn't worry though, Gaga didn't spend too long in that formal dress. Later that night, she slipped into something more like her, a wacky red ensemble adorned with roses that left little to the imagination.
