Lady Gaga, singer and trendsetter, as well as fashion icon according to many industry people, has made quite a name for herself for her
unique accessories. Anything from
cup and saucer to
futuristic gold orb hat and
gimp mask, she’s done it all. With all this, she still managed to shock during a recent public appearance by wearing a hat made of her own hair, as
OK! UK can confirm.
Dressed in what looked at first sight a plain black short dress, the singer opted for the shock element not with makeup or various degrees of undress, but with a hat made of her own hair. As of now, it is not yet known how much time her stylist needed to work on the amazing accessory but, for all it matters, if getting people talking was what Gaga was after, then she can consider this mission accomplished.
“Lady Gada is no stranger to turning heads, but she struggled to turn her own in her latest wacky accessory – a wide-brimmed hat made of her own hair. Singer Lady Gaga took hair accessories to a whole new level by making a huge hat out of her own hair. Gaga had her locks spiked out to the sides to create a style in the shape of a wide-brimmed sun hat, which she wore on the side of her head at a recent launch in Las Vegas,” the British version of OK! Magazine writes in its latest issue.
“The star completed her look with a pair of her signature circle sunglasses and a black netted ‘80s frock with shoulder pads. Meanwhile, GaGa signed a partnership deal with Polaroid today to become the new Creative Director of their ‘specialty products’ and will be bringing out wild and wacky camera designs by the end of the year,” the same publication goes on to say.
Back in May 2009, when asked about her off the wall style, the “Poker Face” singer
denied allegations that she was making such strange public appearances for the sake of causing a stir and getting media attention. Her style was an extension of herself as a person, therefore no one had any grounds for calling her a “phony” because of it, she said at the time.
