Lady Gaga has lost some weight in recent months, which could be due to her grueling touring schedule and, as she was saying the other day, simply being too busy to have the time to sit down to a proper meal. According to celebrity fitness trainer and author Harley Pasternak, who has worked with Gaga to prepare her for her tour, nothing is as easy as it seems and Gaga actually works hard to stay in such incredible shape, How Celebrities Lose Weight informs.

As per Pasternak’s words, Gaga is actually on the 5-factor diet plan, which means she can have three meals a day together with two snacks. This is the same plan that Sophia Bush is also on and, as HCLW puts it, it actually works wonders – which, of course, is also visible even to the untrained eye in Gaga’s case. Just recently, the singer has been rocking some serious abs and now fans can finally learn what she did to get them.

“In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Lady Gaga explained that she’s on a very strict healthy pop star diet plan. ‘I don’t eat bread, just vegetables and salad and fish. Eating like that is much better for me anyway but on Sundays I sometimes eat pasta.’ Celebrity fitness trainer of the stars and New York Times best selling author, Harley Pasternak prepares Lady Gaga for her tours and travels with her. He also created the diet plan of Lady Gaga. He stressed to Hollywoodlife, a celebrity news and gossip site the benefits of his 5-factor diet plan: three meals and two snacks daily that consist of lowfat protein, fiber, healthy carbs and fats,” HCLW writes.

“There’s also a sugar-free drink allowed with every meal. Clients are also allowed one ‘cheat day’ a week on their diet plan. Fitness trainer Harley Pasternak is all about things in fives and his most recent book, The 5-Factor World Diet, published in January 2010 includes over 120 recipes and important insights on health from around the world. ‘Five meals a day, five core ingredients, five-minute prep time and incorporates the best foods and nutritional habits from ten of the world’s healthiest countries,’ Pasternak said, describing what his book was all about,” the same fitness-oriented e-zine says.

Of course, dieting is not all that Gaga did to become this fit since she also has to work out. Pasternak’s diet plan comes with an exercise plan as well, and it too is based on the idea that cheating is good if practiced in moderation: Gaga works out five days a week and is free to choose two days in which she’s free from exercise.
