Lady Gaga has long been a spokesperson for various anti-bullying campaigns, including the famous “It Gets Better.” Just the other day, she also took the time to personally thank one of her Canadian fans for trying to spread the message of love.

In a video posted online, the singer thanks Jacques St. Pierre, 17, from the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto, for his efforts to spread the message of love.

Jacques too was a victim of bullying because he loved to be in school plays.

For organizing a rally to speak about love, acceptance and the need to stop bullying, Gaga sends warmest congratulations for Jacques, together with her respect and admiration for standing up for what he believes.

Her message to the fan is in the video below.

“I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you for being such a strong advocate of the LGBT community in your school. There should be more little monsters like you,” Gaga says.

She goes on to explain how she came to hear of his achievements: her father keeps all the fan mail she receives and, when she got to read his letter, she was so touched she just knew she had to do something in return.

“My father always saves all the fan letters that I receive and I read yours and wanted to send this video to you. It is important that we push the boundaries of love and acceptance,” she says.

She also urges her fans, whom she calls Little Monsters, to “treat each other with kindness, love, and to accept everyone,” all in the hope of one day making “bullying a hate crime.”

Gaga concludes her message with another direct plea to her fans: stay in school, get good grades and “love each other because that's all we've got.”
