Fans point out that Gaga's face has changed a lot over the years

Lady Gaga has been wearing such ridiculous outfits, makeup and hair styles that it's been hard to keep up with her real self underneath. Think about it, when was the last time you saw Gaga looking normal? Exactly, you can't remember, because it's been a really long time.

But now Lady Gaga, usually a trendsetter in so many ways, has decided to follow suit and post a “no-makeup selfie” on Instagram, proving that she too can fall victim to popular fads these days. More and more women, be they famous or not, have chosen to reveal their true selves on social media.

So behold Lady Gaga with no makeup on! Pretty unrecognizable, huh? Don't worry about it though, it's not because of the fact that you're not a real fan. Probably even Gaga's own mother would have a hard time recognizing her daughter, which has made many people speculate that the singer has undergone several cosmetic surgeries.

Let us not forget what the “G.U.Y” singer once told Harper's Bazaar in an interview, “I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification ... And how many models and actresses do you see on magazine covers who have brand-new faces and have had plastic surgery, while I myself have never had any plastic surgery? ... I am an artist, and I have the ability and the free will to choose the way the world will envision me.”

This is the same person who forbade photographers at events to publish her photos without first sending them to her agency to “enhance” them before they went out to the press. You see, Gaga would like you to think that she doesn't care about appearances and that she's not afraid to push the envelope, but the truth is that she's just as insecure and into her looks as many other women.

Oh, and her “no-makeup selfie” is not exactly 100% makeup-free, just so you know. Even a man could spot the lip gloss, the mascara on her lashes, and the foundation on her face. We're not even going to mention the filters added after the photo was taken.

But then again, few celebrities out there today have the guts to go 100% without makeup on camera and then post it on social media for the entire world to see. That's like seeing the cow your burger is made out of at the fast food restaurant, no one really wants to catch a glimpse of that.
