She keeps pushing the envelope every day in her career as a successful pop star, but for Lady Gaga, that is apparently not enough. All the weird costumes, the hair, the make-up and the performances are nothing for Gaga if she can't fulfill her dream – that of getting married in outer space.

The Daily Star reveals that a confidential source has spoken with the singer and she dished about her dream wedding in space rather than on Earth with her current boyfriend, “Gaga and Taylor want to make a pledge for life, and think the space flight is too big an opportunity to pass up.”

The singer has scored a place on Richard Branson's maiden voyage of the Virgin Galactic Flight and she wants to make the most of it, by having an unofficial wedding ceremony with her current boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, 33.

We say unofficial because there isn't going to be a priest up there to make it official, so they'll have to settle for the pretend version.

Gaga has been asked to be the first artist to give a performance in outer space and thus she was given her ticket for free, which isn't that bad considering that some of the other passengers have had to dish out a quarter of a million dollars for their ticket.

In return, Gaga will have to give a performance which is going to be broadcast live at the Zero G Colony Festival in New Mexico.

The source continues, “It would be typical of her to have the least conventional ‘wedding’ ever. Of course it would be a simulated-style marriage as there wouldn’t be a priest or religious figure there. But they don’t care about convention, it’s more about making each other a life-long promise.”

For the record, Gaga won't be the only celebrity aboard the maiden voyage of the Virgin Galactic flight. Some of the other big names that have already signed up to take part in this historic event are actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, as well as Ashton Kutcher.

Gaga, meanwhile, is very excited about performing in space or the first time in the history of music and she said that she will use this opportunity to spread a “message of love.” She is quoted as saying “Performing in space is such an honor. I want to challenge myself to come up with something that will not only bring everyone together but will also have a message of love that blasts into the beyond.”

Among those challenges she mentioned is going to be her month-long training before the event to make sure her body can handle the changes in atmospheric pressure during her singing performance. It is surely going to pose some problems she's never encountered before.
