Lady Gaga once said that there’s nothing fake about her outrageous public persona and that’s why she treats a simple outing to run errands with the same importance as a concert or more formal outing. She’s proved she’s just as fierce on the catwalk, as part of the Autumn / Winter Thierry Mugler fashion show.
Before the show, which streamed live on Mugler’s Facebook page, Gaga tweeted to her little monsters that she had a wonderful surprise for them in store: she was to be included in the show.
As the video below will confirm, Gaga was among the first to walk in the show: dressed in a black see-through number, doing her best “monster” pose and puffing on a cigarette, she was welcomed with loud cheers by the audience.
Seeing how it included the likes of Anna Wintour from fashion bible Vogue, that’s no small feat, one may as well note.
But that was not all that Gaga’s involvement in the show was limited to: as models showcased the latest collection – a unique blend of funky and sleek – she squeezed in a quick change and closed the show as the unconventional bride.
With long ponytails and a wide hat, Gaga strutted her stuff in incredibly high heels (without stumbling once, unlike other models), showcasing a tight long skirt and white bustier, and the fiercest attitude of all the models.
At the end of the show, she posed for pictures with designer Nicola Formichetti, who is also her personal stylist, and graciously answered questions from the media and industry people.
Still, that’s not to say she wasn’t nervous about her big catwalk debut. On the contrary, Gaga was afraid she wouldn’t have the right attitude to be a Mugler woman.
“I want people to see me walk and say, ‘She is a Mugler woman. Seriously, I’m so nervous’,” she told People before the show.
MTV News also reports she was heard saying, “If I vomit on the stage, it would be good press.” Luckily, that didn’t happen and she handled herself like a pro.
