Singer is terrified she will be killed in paparazzi-caused accident

Lady Gaga has compared herself to another iconic blonde, though she's not iconic for the same reasons she's famous for. Admittedly, the singer has been telling friends she's terrified she might die like Princess Diana, killed in a paparazzi-caused car crash.

Gaga believes she and Diana have a lot in common but, at the same time, she dreads they might end up sharing one more thing: the way they die.

“Gaga has always been absolutely fixated on Diana and sees herself as a 21st-century incarnation of her,” an unnamed pal is quoted as saying by Stuff.co.nz.

Part of that conviction comes from the fact Gaga is an internationally known figure, much like Diana, even though in different fields of work.

However, such fame comes at a very high price – and the hitmaker fears she might end up paying it far too soon, just like Diana also did in that terrible car crash in Paris.

“She knows she is almost as recognizable as Diana and is hounded by photographers and fans on the same level,” the insider says.

“Gaga has had dreams about dying the same way as her and has genuine fears that her fame could literally kill her, either in a chase or at the hands of crazies,” adds the spy.

There are various reasons why Gaga fans (Little Monsters) should take this with a grain of salt, but the most prominent is that she'd never refer to them as “crazies.”

In fact, Gaga is very close to her fans, much more so than most celebrities out let, let alone those as insanely successful as she is.

Just recently, for instance, the singer took the time out to record a thank-you video that she sent to a fan in Canada who'd been keeping very busy raising awareness on bullying and the means to stop it in his home town school.

“I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you for being such a strong advocate of the LGBT community in your school. There should be more little monsters like you,” Gaga told the fan, as we also reported at the time.
