Sad news for the little monsters: Lady Gaga has canceled the remainder of her Born This Way Ball tour and will undergo hip surgery. It seems that her condition is worse than anticipated.
The other day, Gaga announced that she’d pulled the plug
on 3 upcoming performances because of an injury she sustained some time ago, which she kept hidden even from her staff.
The injury was more serious than she thought and was caused, most likely, by physically challenging live performances, a statement on her
Little Monsters website reads.
“After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip,” the announcement says.
“She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict downtime to recover. This, unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour so she can heal,” it adds.
Ticket holders will receive full refunds – but there’s no compensation for shattered dreams and hopes.
