Dry shampoo is not a new concept. In fact, this type of hair product goes a long way back, but it wasn’t until recently that it managed to grow enough to be accepted on a wider scale. One of the best types of dry shampoos (or shampowders, as they’re called because of their aspect) is, from what several reviewers are saying, the Label. M Dry Shampoo from Tony and Guy, being one of the few to mix efficiency and low-cost to the advantage of the customer.

Retailing for as much as £9.50 (£8.81 with a special discount) for the 200ml container, the Label. M Dry Shampoo is described as “a weightless powder to refresh hair and reactivate your style, without washing. Perfect for creating a dry, matt texture with volume.” Moreover, while many other products of the same kind also boast about doing precisely that, this is one shampowder that actually delivers on the promise.

The way the Label. M shampoo acts is the same as with the rest of the hair products of the type. It’s a powder that you apply at the roots and that absorbs the natural oil and the grease in the hair. Left to do its job for a couple of minutes, the white powder is then removed by combing the hair – what’s best, as far as the Label. M product is concerned, is that it does not make the hair feel heavy afterwards, as neither does it leave white powdery traces. Therefore, it can come extremely in handy in emergency situations, such as when you want (or have to) skip one or two days of washing your hair with your regular shampoo.

For those not familiar with this type of products, dry shampoos first began to make their presence felt on the market at the beginning of last year. It was then that the first figures revealed that more and more women were washing their hair only once a week, as Times Online indicated at the time – an unprecedented occurrence until then. The explanation for it, though, was that those in question had discovered dry shampoos and were using them to replace the regular type and the time-consuming blow-drying of the hair.

As noted above, the Label M. Dry Shampoo combines efficiency and low-cost to the best advantage of the buyer. It does not require massive brushing to make it go away and comes at a price that makes it affordable to most women in urgent need of a quick hair fix. The only thing that might be working against it is its heavily scented smell, which may prove a bit too strong for some.
