Users with versions 3.0.5.7 or 3.0.5.5 installed must update to version 3.0.7.1 first

Today, LaCie makes available firmware version 3.1.4.4 developed for its Intel-powered 5-Bay hybrid cloud, namely 5big NAS Pro, which promises to bring a handful of improvements.

Specifically speaking, the 3.1.4.4 package fixes a bug with large iTunes library, adds hardware monitoring (SMART, fan, CPU, and RAM), allows JBOD, user quota, and multi-volume tasks, and includes 64-bit distribution and support for drives larger than 16TB.

In addition to that, writing performance in RAID 5 on a single LAN is improved (from 85 MB/s to 100 MB/s), multiple iSCSI targets with multi-initiator support is added, and automatic system check while booting is possible on-demand.

Now, if you consider applying this firmware version, you should know that if version 3.0.5.7 or 3.0.5.5 is currently installed, updating to version 3.0.7.1 is needed (this package allows the NAS to upgrade to 3.1 versions) before upgrading to the latest firmware.

That being said, follow the link below, and click on the download button to get the latest update for your LaCie network-attached storage.
