LXNAV, a Sloven manufacturer, has recently released a new firmware update for its V7 standalone digital speed-to-fly variometer and final glide calculator with GPS input and PDA/PNA support.

Version 3.01 fixes the issue reported with MAMTIM, adds the ability to receive target information from PNA and performs a CAN BUS cleanup.

The firmware update requires Oudie version 4.20 or higher and the CC-NP-OUDIE1 cable. Download the archive at the link below and extract it to an accessible location. Copy the two “lxfw” files to Oudie's SD card.

Go to “Setup,” select “Settings” and scroll through the screens until you can select “LXNAV V7(2).” Tap the “Update Firmware” button and choose the LXNUpdate.exe application.

Next, SeeYou will close and the firmware app will start. Choose the “App_VINB_x.yy.lxfw” file first and press the update button. The progress will be displayed and, when the installation is complete, exit the program and power down the device.

Start it back and repeat the procedure for the “App_VSEV_x.yy.lxfw” file.

Download the new firmware at the link below and stay “updated one minute ago.”
