HTC is expected to bring to the market some appealing new smartphones during the next year, including a LTE-capable smartphone running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system, and some info on it has just started to emerge.

According to a recent article on BGR, the new handset should arrive on shelves as soon as February 5th, and AT&T will be the wireless operator to have it on its network.

Apparently, HTC is set to make an official announcement on this device at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Although there are no specific details available on the hardware that this device will include when made available, though BGR says that it should arrive on shelves with a 4.7-inch screen as the HTC Titan.

Other high-end smartphones from HTC will also make an appearance on shelves next year, and they will be running under the Android operating system, rumor has it.

One of these devices would be the HTC Elite, expected to run under Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and to sport Beats Audio inside.

The smartphone should be launched alongside HTC Ville and HTC Edge, and is expected to hit shelves at AT&T too. Rumor has it that it will land as ‘HTC Congressional.’

What’s interesting to note is that the Taiwanese mobile phone make is expected to release a smaller number of handsets during the next year, when compared to the amount of devices it released in 2011.

There will be only a few smartphones brought to the market in the first quarter of the next year, and the release schedule will continue rather quiet until the end of the year.

The company is working on changing its overall strategy, and the release of fewer devices is one of these modifications.

Chances are that the vendor will make official announcements on at least the said 4G Windows Phone and on the HTC Elite Android smartphone in January, so stay tuned for additional info on the matter.
