ZTE Source is an entry-level 4G smartphone that has just been picked by US-based carrier Cricket. The LTE-enabled handset will be available beginning October 20 for only $220 (€160).

The Source will ship with Cricket’s exclusive Muve Music service that offers unlimited music for free with the carrier’s no-contract unlimited rate plans.

The smartphone is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a decent 1.2 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

ZTE Source also packs a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording, as well as secondary 1-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

“Ideal for the upcoming holiday season, the ZTE Source is one of the most exciting and powerful smartphones on the market with a huge display and advanced camera technology. Video, photo and music lovers will be thrilled with not only the features, but also the tremendous value and 4G LTE speed of the Source,” said Matt Stoiber, senior vice president of devices at Cricket.
