Motorola DROID Bionic is already old news, as the mobile phone maker Motorola Mobility is hard at work with the release of a new device that offers support for the 4G connectivity, namely the Motorola Spyder, which might arrive on shelves as the Droid RAZR, or the Droid HD.

The mobile phone is expected to arrive on shelves with features and capabilities that will put it in line with the aforementioned DROID Bionic, as well as with smartphones like the PHOTON 4G or the ELCTRIFY.

On the front, the device will pack a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass, which can deliver a 960 x 540 qHD resolution. It would be the first Motorola device to sport this screen, it seems.

On the back, the upcoming mobile phone will include an 8-megapixel photo snapper, capable of offering support for 1080p HD video recording. Apparently, it will be complemented by an HD front-facing camera.

Inside, the new device is expected to include a 1.2GHz application processors, a dual-core one, complemented by 1GB of RAM, for increased performance capabilities.

The one thing that has not been clarified for the time being is the name this handset will sport when launched, so we'll have to expect anything involving Droid RAZR or Droid HD, or even Spyder, it seems.

This is my next has a series of photos available with the smartphone, accompanied by some more info on its specs, and those who would like to learn more on it should head over there for that.

Moreover, the news site notes that the mobile phone will arrive on shelves accompanied by another high-end smartphone from Motorola, namely the ATRIX 2, which was almost confirmed.

The handsets will be launched with support for a series of accessories aimed at expanding their capabilities, including the Lapdock 100, and more.

The two mobile phones are based on Google's Android operating system, the same as did Motorola's high-end smartphones for the past few years.

Unfortunately, specific details on when these phones might arrive on shelves have not been unveiled for the time being, but more on their availability and pricing might emerge in the near future, so keep an eye on this space for more.
