Windows Phone hasn’t reached all smartphone areas out there, but it should become available in more of them in the near future, it appears. One of these is the LTE area, where Nokia Windows Phones are expected to arrive as soon as next year.

Apparently, other handset vendors will also launch LTE-powered Windows Phones in 2012, including HTC and Samsung, some of the latest rumors around the Internet suggest.

Apparently, HTC is set to bring to shelves at LTE Windows Phone that will sport the name of Radiant, while Samsung’s device is expected to be called Mandel.

For the time being, these are only codenames, and there are no details available on the actual name the handsets will sport when released.

However, a recent article on The Verge claims that HTC’s Radiant would sport a pre-Tango flavor of Windows Phone, and that it will arrive on shelves in early 2012.

Samsung’s Mandel should hit the market at the same time, and Nokia’s LTE Windows Phone is expected to make an appearance early next year as well.

It does not come as a surprise that Windows Phone will be loaded on LTE-capable devices, since Microsoft has already confirmed plans to offer support for the technology.

One thing that remains to be seen, however, is which wireless carriers will add these phones to their offerings.

Nokia’s handset was initially said to be on its way to both AT&T and Verizon in the United States, but recent rumors suggested that it might be exclusive to the former.

Undoubtedly, Verizon will not miss the opportunity to release some more LTE-capable devices to its users. In this regard, we might soon see the carrier making an official announcement on one of the aforementioned HTC or Samsung devices.

With CES just around the corner and MWC set to kick off in Barcelona one month later, in February, specific details on this could emerge soon.
