LL Cool J might not be the person you’d expect to be quarantined with for three whole hours but, for the passengers on a flight from Los Angeles to St. Louis, Missouri, it was a dream come true. The rapper was en route to see a ball game when the pilot was forced to do an emergency landing in Kansas City, after which all the passengers were sent into quarantine when one of them fell ill, PR Inside reports.

It was the “flight from hell” for the rapper and actor, the publication says, but he handled the situation like a true star. Panic took over the passengers when one of them said that he could smell smoke – so the pilot was forced to land the plane immediately in KC. Trouble had just begun, though, since the moment the passengers set foot on ground, one of them fell ill. Since he had just returned from a trip outside the US, they all had to be quarantined, including LL Cool J.

“The pilot took the decision to make an emergency landing in Kansas City. But things got even worse when one of the passengers, who had returned from a trip outside of the US, fell ill, meaning all of the flight’s ticketholders had to stay under quarantine for three hours. However, LL Cool J proved himself to be the perfect superstar – happily posing for pictures and signed autographs for fans.” PR Inside writes.

As anyone can easily imagine, quarantine or no quarantine, all those on the flight were more than happy to get to spend three whole hours with the star, especially since he was so kind as to do all of the above for them. One such passenger, for instance, is telling the media they would have been OK if the rapper told them he wasn’t in the mood for pics or autographs.

“I was on the plane last night, too – sitting right behind LL on the plane, then with him in the airport in KC. I have to say that he couldn’t have been more cool with all of us. Of course, some of us wanted to get a photo with him and he was just great about it. Given the situation, no one would have blamed him if he’d said ‘hey, not now’ – but he said ‘sure!’ and provided big hugs and warm smiles for us. Major, major points for being a true gentleman and a trooper.” a fellow passenger is quoted by PR Inside as saying.

However, not even this warm reception from fans was enough to convince LL Cool J to stick around to board another flight, as he called his driver to take him for the remainder of the journey, the aforementioned publication informs.
