LL Cool J, real name Todd Smith, is really working his way through the visual arts. He started years ago by appearing in small parts in various mediocre movies, then got the leading part in others (more worth seeing) and, now, he will be coming on the television screens all around.
LL signed a very profitable agreement with CBS, the home of the popular hit series 'CSI', according to which he is to produce any project he signs onto. That means that he, along with Jason Barrett from Alchemy Entertainment, will focus their attention on a story, turn it into a script and then LL will produce it.
And, what's even better, the contract is not exclusive. CBS doesn't forbid LL to work only in the network's in-house studios so he can choose whatever production studio suits his fancy. Executives from the network already stated that they're expecting the rapper to concentrate on the development of a new drama series, in which he is very likely to star.
This is not the first time LL appears on the small screen. He had a guest-starring part in the last season of the 'In The House' sitcom, which was very well received by the public. Unfortunately for the television networks interested to sign him in, he was busy at the time, promoting his 'Todd Smith' album.
