One of the most popular IMs for mobile phones, LINE, has just received a small update on the Windows Phone platform.

The application that allows users to chat freely using an Internet connection has been rated quite high by many Windows Phone users, which means that creators of the app are going into the right direction with the development.

Even though the last update does not bring any new features, it does make the application perform faster and smoother. In fact, it looks like developers have solely focused their efforts on making some under the hood changes that would improve how well LINE runs on Windows Phone devices.

According to the official changelog, the first thing LINE users should notice is the fact that the application is now much faster due to database optimizations. Lots of improvements to sticker keypad UI are also meant to bring faster response times.

Last but not least, general bug fixes and performance improvements have been included in the update as well, but not additional details on any of these have been provided yet.

You can now download LINE for Windows Phone 3.7.2 for free via Windows Phone Store. Keep in mind that the application is fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and up, but free calls are only available on OS version 8 and above.
