A new version of the popular LINE messenger for Windows 8 has been released today, providing adopters of Microsoft’s latest operating system with several bug fixes and performance improvements.

The official release notes published in the Store only point to a pack of bug fixes, so the application should run a bit faster regardless of whether you’ve deployed the desktop version of Windows 8 or the tablet-oriented Windows RT.

As you probably know, LINE for Windows 8 requires users to own a registered account that can only be created on smartphone devices, so this feature is still missing from Microsoft’s new platform.

On the other hand, the app packs all features you would need, including photo and video support, as well as a completely touch-optimized experience for Windows RT users.
