NAVER JAPAN has released LINE 4.3.0, a new version of the company’s communication app that allows you to make free voice calls and send free text messages, adding new countries to the mix, as well as new features.

A LINE Call feature has been added for users in Japan, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, Spain, Thailand, Argentina, Australia, Malaysia, and the U.S.A., according to NAVER.

“All LINE users in the supported regions who have registered their mobile phone number can make cheap domestic and international calls to landlines and mobile phones,” the Japanese developer confirms.

Users who download LINE 3.4.0 will get a new sticker preview function with the ability to open the sticker entry window by tapping a sticker you already own, increased group member limit to 200, a new feature to block messages from apps you are not using, and minor fixes.

The app now pops up a dialog telling you the exact reason why a friend has appeared in your Recommended Friends list, and the same goes for when people have added you as a friend. Download LINE for your iOS 5 device and enjoy these new perks today. Compatibility starts at iPhone 3GS, going by the low firmware requirement.
