The disturbing yet enchanting LIMBO Game for iOS devices has finally received support for third-party game controllers, taking advantage of a new API implementation in iOS 7.

Courtesy of Apple’s thoughtfulness, game developers can now design their titles with controllers in mind. In other words, you can now make an iPhone or iPad game without having to imagine all the possible scenarios where the user might cover up the on-screen action with their fingers.

And in the case of LIMBO, that’s particularly important. Which is why Playdead, the developer, has announced version 1.1. with “support for iOS 7 game controllers,” as well as some minor bug fixes and optimized performance.

The game requires at least iPad 2, iPhone 4S, or iPod touch 5th-generation to run. iOS 6 is also needed.
