Why girls need a special phone, beats me. It might be because the usual instructions and menus of regular mobile phones are too difficult to understand for them? Or is it that they cannot use a phone unless it has a pink case or plenty of colors and drawings?
LG thought of releasing a C3300 clamshell, a phone designed exclusively for the female clientele. The company however considered that the marketing was exaggerating a bit, and later announced that the phone was actually intended for the extremely
dynamic business women.
The manufacturer clearly focused on a smart, compact (91 x 47 x 25 mm) design, reflecting the personality of strong women in strong shades of color (red and silver).
Hmmis LG planning a fashion show? Are we expecting an LG clothing line next to their displays, optic drives and all other electronics?
The phone is facile to use and provides a comple range of capabilities, including a camera with 4x digital zoom and up to 640x480 pixels, a 65k color display with a 128 x 160 pixel screen resolution. The second color display resolution is 96 x 64 pixels wide and is placed on the outer clamshell.
The design also integrates polyphonic ringtones (40 voices) in FR-MIDI, MIDI, i-Melody, SMAF formats, and the 8 MB internal memory may be used for storing JPEG snapshots or contacts.
The phone is operable in GSM900 / GSM 1800 networks and supports GPRS class 10 networking, also featuring a 14.4 KBps modem and WAP 2.0. C3300 includes an xHTML browser and may be synchronized with a PC for importing Outlook contacts. The autonomy is far from outstanding, as the Li-Ion battery only lasts 200 hours in stand-by mode an a bit longer than 2 hours of conversation.
The phone is expected beginning at Q2 this year for an approximate 100 sterling pounds.
