LG's X110 netbook is almost official – as we informed you earlier today, the small-sized computer should be showcased at IFA, the international consumer electronics show that will debut tomorrow in Berlin. Despite no direct indication from the company, LG is expected to enter the netbook market with its X110, which, among other things, will boast an HSDPA modem for 3G support.

The netbook market is currently one of the most dynamic segments of the IT hardware market, and all the recent and upcoming releases are a clear proof of that. Major manufacturers such as MSI, Acer, Lenovo and ASUS have already introduced their Atom-powered netbook systems for some time now. Due to the increasing customer interest in these small-sized portable computer systems, and the clear advantages presented by the ever-growing segment of the market, other manufacturers have also decided to put out their own netbook models.

This also goes for LG and its anticipated X110 netbook system, which will sport an Intel Atom processor running at a core speed of 1.6GHz, much like most other netbooks currently available. According to the guys at Engadget, who have already got a hands-on experience with the netbook, the X110's price tag will be set somewhere in the €399 to €499 range. The netbook will come in an 8.9-inch form factor, and will sport a 120GB HDD, 1GB of RAM, and a choice of a built-in 3G HSDPA or GPS module. Running a Windows XP operating system, it will become available for sale in Europe, later in September.

The netbook's design is rather decent but nothing too special, following the same lines as most other similar products already existent. It will sport three USB ports, one Ethernet port, two audio jacks for headphone and microphone, a VGA port and a card reader.

According to recent rumors, chances are the netbook will be released tomorrow, on the first day of the IFA show, along with a number of other products from various manufacturers.
